Letting go of 2020


The year 2020 has been an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. It has brought us many lessons, challenges and obstacles. This time of year is known for making new resolutions, but to do this, we really need to let go of the things holding us back. Here are my top 5 things you should leave behind you in 2020!


Self Critisism

Your inner critic is your own worst enemy. Would you speak to your best friend the way that you speak to yourself? I highly doubt it! It's time to check yourself when you speak in such a way. Treat yourself with the respect that you deserve. Turn your I can't do this into watch me do this. Let 2021 be the year that you love yourself. When you begin to notice your inner criticism, quieten the voice and turn it into kindness.


Mess/Clutter

Physical mess in your personal space can weigh you down more than you know. It's time for a deep clean! Have you been meaning to clear out the cupboard under the stairs? Or perhaps that drawer in the kitchen could do with a bit of organisation. It's true what they say, "tidy house, tidy mind". Get a head start and make a to-do list!


Toxic People

Did someone spring to mind? If they did, it's time to remove them from your personal life. Your energy and time is far too precious to give to someone who does not value you. Letting go of toxic people can be daunting but extremely liberating. Which leads me onto my next point...


Weak Boundaries

Have you ever set yourself boundaries? Maybe you have previously created boundaries, but feel you have become complacent and people have taken advantage. Clear boundaries allows us to protect ourselves and feel respected both physically and emotionally, therefore maintenance is key. Being "Too Busy"

You may feel the need to be constantly on the go, to keep your mind busy. But what about making time to slow down? Self care and rest are absolutely essential for our general wellbeing. Schedule in at least one relaxation activity, that is just for you, every week. Be it an hour long bath on a Friday night, an early morning jog on a Sunday morning, or, perhaps you could join me on a Monday night for a Free Live relaxation (details below). Whatever you decide to do, do it for YOU.
