How to relax before bed

So it's Sunday evening, the perfect opportunity to get a good nights sleep in time for a new week. Here are a few tips that will help you wind down...

Cosy up the space

To get yourself nice and relaxed before a lovely sleep, dim the lights, wear your favourite pyjamas and fluffy socks. Having warm feet enables you to relax more deeply as your feet regulate your temperature for your entire body.

Turn off all electronic devices

Putting down your electronics is a great way to let go of the day. You won't be tempted to reply to that email or text endlessly. Having a couple of hours without the electronic light which is designed to keep your brain active, will have a great effect on your quality of sleep.

Write down your thoughts

Sunday evening is a great time to let go of your thoughts on a piece of paper. Perhaps writing your to-do list will relieve some of the worry of tomorrow. Or, you may remember on the blog recently we spoke about practising gratitude. Tonight is a great opportunity to begin doing so!
